Forever Free: Abraham Lincoln's Journey to Emancipation
Touring from September 2003 to December 2006, Forever Free was developed by the ALA Public Programs Office, the Huntington Library of San Marino, Calif., and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, with major support from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The exhibition reexamines President Lincoln's efforts toward the abolition of slavery during the Civil War.
